GMG Radio has formed a new partnership with online music service We7 to supply on-demand entertainment and news content.

The group, which has built a strong reputation for its journalism, will deliver regular audio bulletins to the music streaming website allowing consumers to access the best of digital and traditional media simultaneously and making sure they no longer miss out on the breaking stories of the day.

GMG Radio’s Chief Executive Stuart Taylor said: “Our news teams are recognised across the industry for making great content. Working with We7 means that we can continue to grow that reputation and deliver it on other important platforms. A collaborative approach is mutually beneficial and, in the growing digital ecology, we need to be trying new things.”

The Real Radio-branded content will be produced by GMG Radio’s editorial hub in Manchester.
