Frequently Asked Questions

I have a relatively small advertising budget is there a minimum level of investment required?
You don't need a big budget to advertise successfully on radio. Our team will tailor a package bespoke to you based on cost effectiveness and achieving maximum return on investment no matter what budget. We would base your campaign on your target audience, identify key times your target group will be listening and ensure your advert is broadcast at these times. We have a dedicated research and insight function at GMG which means that we have all the tools to enable a scientific approach to planning.
How do I get my ad on-air?
We can accommodate any audio recorded for your campaign by your creative agencies (this must meet advertising standards and be cleared by the Radio Advertising Clearance Centre). Alternatively we can write and record the audio on your behalf and get necessary approvals. You will be involved from briefing and supplying scripts and audio to approve before your advert goes on air.
Why should I choose radio - I've always used local press titles which have worked very well in the past?
Radio continues to be an important part of your customer's lives. Stations are building listeners because there are more ways to listen to the radio than ever before which means you can now reach listeners in more ways than in the past. Unlike local press titles who have felt the affect of the recession - with pagination falling and local titles closing, commercial radio continues to see an incline in listening figures providing a strong and effective alternative for accessing local communities.

As an agency we are keen to offer our clients a cross-platform approach to planning, can you offer more than airtime?
If it will deliver the objectives of the brief, we will often encourage a multi-platform approach to campaigns. The general public is becoming increasingly more savvy in their media consumption so it makes sense to incorporate other complimentary media into the campaign. Many individuals listen to the radio whilst logged onto the internet so we can offer additional digital solutions as standard.

When planning campaigns, radio is a great way to kick start and achieve immediate recognition of the message you are trying to broadcast.
